My partner and I are both currently living in Germany and planning to get married in the Philippines.
I’m Filipino and my partner is German. We’re trying to understand all the legal/document requirements for a civil or church wedding in the Philippines, especially since we both reside abroad.
We’re looking for recommendations for:
- agencies or consultants that help prepare/check the paperwork
- services familiar with German + Philippine marriage requirements
- help with DFA, PSA, embassy/legalization requirements, CENOMAR, birth certificates, affidavit of legal capacity to marry, etc.
- experiences from couples in a similar situation
Ideally we’d like someone reliable who can help make the process smoother and avoid delays or missing documents.
If you’ve gone through this process yourself, how long did it take and was using an agency worth it?
