Hey everyone! Up until this year, studying in China honestly wasn’t even on my radar. It just didn’t feel like something that fit into my reality. But after learning about the CSC scholarship, it suddenly started to feel possible, and since then I’ve become really motivated to try and make it happen. I genuinely feel like it could be an amazing step for both my personal growth and my career.

Right now I’m a film major, and I’d love to continue into a master’s in the arts. I’m honestly very open, anything art-related would already mean a lot to me. The issue is that I’ve been struggling to find clear information. From what I’ve seen so far, arts programs in China don’t seem to be as internationalized as fields like science and engineering, which has made the search a bit harder.

So I wanted to ask: are there any universities in China that offer arts-related master’s programs for international students that are also eligible for the CSC scholarship and, ideally, taught in English? I’d really need a program in English since Chinese isn’t my native language, and neither is English, but at this point it would be much more realistic for me to prove proficiency in English than in Chinese.

That said, if studying in Chinese would significantly improve my chances and it’s realistically possible to reach a good level before applying for the CSC, I’d really appreciate hearing about that too. If anyone has had a similar experience, I’d be very grateful if you could share.

I realize this might be a pretty niche thing to look for, but I’m genuinely motivated to make this happen. Even if there isn’t a perfect match, I’d really appreciate any suggestions, advice, or personal experiences that could help point me in the right direction. Thanks so much for taking the time to read this and for any help you can offer!
