Hi there. Planning a solar eclipse trip of 13 days. We are flying into Barcelona, renting a car for the duration. The long drives are not bothersome at all for any of us. There are really only 3 or 4 places on our Barcelona & Madrid must-see's. Ovideo is our spot to watch the eclipse. Porto is on the way to Lisbon and this route gives us a LOT to see in the two weeks.
Feel free to roast me or offer any suggestions.
Plans are:
Arrive in Barcelona 10 AM Sunday, Sunday night & Monday night in Barcelona
Tue AM depart for Ovideo (8+ hour drive). Tue & Wed night in Ovideo
Thur AM depart for Porto (5 hour drive). Thursday night in Porto
Friday mid-day depart for Lisboa (3 hour drive). Friday and Saturday night in Lisboa
Sunday early AM, depart for Seville (4+ hour drive). Sunday night in Seville
Monday day trip to Gibralter (2 hour drive) then back to Seville.
Tuesday AM depart for Madrid (6 hour drive). Tue, Wed, Thu nights in Madrid
Depart Madrid airport Friday
I'm eyeballing a few of the tuk tuk tours in Porto & Seville to get around town and definitely will add in some Mirador's and stop off's along the route (Mirador de Camba / Playa de las Catedrales).
