How good is a dog knee braces?
So we have a 4 or 5 year old Australian Shepherd, pretty sure she’s purebred. She was a rescue case, my mom found her on craigslist, for a 1,000. She was hit by a car and broke her front left leg (I think) and never got any medical attention for it so it healed wrong. So we had to have it rebroken and reset to heal properly. (And it healed amazingly). My theory is the guy that sold her to us hit her with his Car and dog napped her. she still sometimes licks the spot, I think it’s just aching because of the weather or because she loves to run and play with our pittie.
We for the past week she’s been limping really bad her left back leg is messed up. So me and my mom went to the vet with her earlier, she has a Torn ACL. The vet recommended a dog knee brace and he gave her some pain meds thankfully. She was in a lot of pain.
So I wanted to get opinions from different vets to see if the dog knee brace works well and how to properly use it
Any options or suggestions would be very much appreciated
