Redshirt Rita - TOS Style 😍
The lovely Redshirt Rita, in screen-accurate TOS-era attire (based on a publicity still of Grace Lee Whitney). Though, as per usual, she's probably going to wind up dead in the next five minutes... 😅

Here's another gallery of Trek ladies wearing that oh-so-infamous of mid-24th Century Starfleet attire! This time, we've got more with the ladies of Enterprise, Dr. Crusher jonesing for a bald Frenchman while under polywater intoxication, some DS9/VOY representation, our first animated skant, and a few TNG randos. I even included Tasha Yar's post-mortem hologram from when she got yeeted by Armus! Too soon, do you think? 🤣
Imagine the one on the left was a real photo, and the others (a rough sketch, a finished color drawing, and a stylized portrait painting) were "commissioned artwork"; if you didn't know what AI imagery was, would you be able to tell the difference?
I don't personally believe AI can, or should, fully replace human-made art, any more than a photograph could replace a portrait painting; they both serve their own purpose for those who value them. However, in our breakneck, "need it done yesterday" society, sometimes the "tried-and-true" methods just aren't fast or efficient enough. What if you need a work done on a really tight schedule; can you honestly spare the hours or even days needed for someone to whip up a sketch or painting? What if you already have the photography done, and you just need to tweak it a little; photoshopping still takes time, and you have to pay someone to do it (who, let's face it, probably isn't worth what they're asking for, anyway). AI can do it fast, do it cheap, and in increasingly greater instances, do it well; or, at least, well enough.
AI is no replacement for human creativity, but it can certainly enhance it for the right situations. What do you think; comment below (keep it civil plz 😁)!
What the hell is Rita doing in the UFP Council chambers? Is she an aide to one of the admirals? Perhaps shadowing a delegate for training or security purposes? Furthermore, what business does an officer trainee (and a lowly ensign, no less) have sitting in at the Fed Council, anyhow? The stuff they talk about ain't for her Plebe ears! And why does she look like she hasn't aged since the TOS era? Does she simply have a fantastic skincare regimen, or is she...a TIME LORD??? 😱
The Enterprise had a gymnasium (shown in "Charlie X", with all those people rolling around in red pajamas), so I think it's safe to assume that it also had a swimming pool. As such, the lovely ladies of Starfleet would need some standardized recreational aquatic attire or, at the very least, a version of their uniform for use in warm-weather aquatic environments. Here's my take on that idea, with all three division colors represented. What do you think: would you find this suitable for a dip in the pelagic waters of Pacifica, or perhaps some spa time in the Hoobishan Baths of Trill, or even a game of hoverball on the beaches of Risa...and after, maybe a little jamaharon? 😉
Redshirt Rita in every Trek era! Sorry, NuTrek fans; sucks to suck! J/K 🤣
First to Last: TOS Rita, TOS Movie Rita, TNG Rita, DS9/Voyager Rita, TNG Movie Rita, Enterprise Rita, and just good ol' Rita! 🥰
CLICK HERE for Rita's Exploits! 😁
It's PART IV!!! And this time, we've got T'Pol and Hoshi Sato from Enterprise, along with a few other requests. Part V coming soon! 🖖
This is for an upcoming installment of my Redshirt Rita short-form series; you can catch it in a couple weeks on Dailymotion, Rumble, and of course, Patreon 😁! If you're familiar with Rita from my (now former) YouTube content, you probably know what's about to happen next. 😬 If you can guess the episode and scene, you get a (non-transferable) brownie point (i.e., nothing)! 🤣
Part III of my "Trek Ladies in Skants" series, including, by semi-popular demand: Dr. Beverly Crusher, Lt. Jae, and more Dax (Jadzia and Ezri)! ENJOY!!! 😉
Hey, everybody; we just reached 1K members! 🥳
Thanks for such tremendous growth in so short a time! Keep posting your AI Trek-inspired content, along with any other AI Sci-Fi content you think we'd like—all are welcome, unless you hate AI🤨—and keep the momentum going!
More ladies in skants, during or post-TNG season 1. NOTE: if you want to see dudes in skants, look elsewhere, or make them yourselves; not really my thing. 😁
I've always wondered how the ladies of TNG would look if they kept wearing skants past the first season; with AI, we can make it happen! Who do you think wears it best? Let me know in the comments! 😁
In the 2280s, Ensign "Hot Stuff" enjoys a nightcap in the San Francisco apartment of a certain Starfleet admiral who's in the midst of a midlife crisis. Why are they drinking whiskey when there's a perfectly good and illegal bottle of Romulan Ale over on the drink cart? 🤔
Remember those abstract, high-contrast images used in the advertising of every hair and nail salon in the 1980s? You know the kind; based on or blatantly ripped off from the pop art of Patrick Nagel (famously used on the cover of Duran Duran's Rio album)? Well, seeing as how TNG started in the midst of the 80s, I thought it fitting to show a lovely lady in a blue skant done up in that style (courtesy of FLUX.2 Klein). What do you think; does it take you back to the era of blowout hair and acid wash jeans? 😁
Check out my latest COMPILATION VIDEO! Let me know in the comments which shorts were YOUR favorites!
Note: video will work best in desktop view.
We've reached 500 members! Not bad for a goofy little subreddit that I just started a month ago! Keep posting, keep sharing, and keep LLaP-ing! 🖖
What if they had skant-style uniforms in the TOS movie era? Could the scene have gone like this? 😍
Made using a screenshot from Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, and LTX 2.3 Image+Audio-to-Video workflow in ComfyUI.
RIP, Kirstie Alley; great actress, beautiful woman, and the best Saavik, IMHO. 🥰
Just a reminder to anyone, member or not, visiting this subreddit for the purpose of posting anti-AI comments (in case you haven't read the sub rules); doing so will get you PERMABANNED and your posts removed without notice, rendering your trolling Luddite efforts meaningless.
AI has arrived, there's nothing you can do about it, and it is coming to (metaphorically) EAT YOUR BABIES!!! 👹
Trying out the new open source ERNIE-Image-Turbo image model, using a standard control group (three ladies in TOS-style outfits, fixed noise seed). For settings, using Euler/Karras, 8 steps, CFG 1, 1536x1536 resolution.
Not bad; anatomy and prompt adherence seem mostly correct, though the background looks a bit janky, especially compared to the same prompt in FLUX.2 Klein or Z-Image Turbo. May need to try the base model, or different rendering algorithms.
