Does it matter which external capture card I buy, if I'm mirroring my main monitor output and sending that to it? (I will be using a separate laptop as my streaming computer)

I was wondering if this would work, because I was hoping to not have to use the pass through. Since I couldn't find the 2k resolution specs.

Will this even work?

I run my main monitor at 2k 180hz.
