Cat won’t stop clawing at carpet
I am in desperate need of help. This has always been a problem, but she got spayed recently so I’ve had to keep her in my closet away from the other pets and from things she can climb/hide under. She has scratched up the carpet under my closet door AND my bedroom door to the point that you can see the nails sticking up. I’ve tried all the tricks like double sided tape, scratchers near the spot, etc. I know that cats don’t like closed doors, but since she’s recovering, she has to be behind a closed door.
Edit: Like I said this was a problem before she got spayed as well, so I’m looking for more long term solutions. Also I didn’t think I’d need to explain this, but she’s not locked in a tiny closet. I’m following vet instructions. The closet is the only place where she won’t interact with the other cat that’s getting used to her scent again and being aggressive. I let her out in my room when I’m home and can monitor her.
Also if you have any tips on where to get carpet patches, lmk
