Repair old boiler, new boiler, or heat pump?
I'm in a 70's two bedroom ground floor flat. I have a 20 year old Bosch Worcester boiler that needs a new pressure release valve. I've got a couple of quotes, £300 for a replacement valve (the existing valve is difficult to get to so it'd be a separate valve install), £3,000 for a new boiler, or look in to getting a heat pump. I also need to pay towards a new roof in the next year or two (£6,000-10,000), and I have about £6,000 in savings. Yeah, it's not been a great six months. I'm in England so I believe I'm elligible for the BUS grant (£7,500).
What would you do? Cheers.
