My brother in law just got into a bad car accident and he is suffering from an incomplete t12 spinal injury. We’re going to get him into inpatient rehabilitation this week and hoping to get in Craig in Colorado. I’ve been researching ways on how I can help him through his recovery. I stumbled upon this website and was wondering if it would be worth getting a certificate here. Just to study up on what I can do to help him. He’s a fireman and works out a lot, he’s also hoping he could go back to work at whatever capacity. I am also thinking of getting a certificate in Adaptive training (like a personal trainer for people with disabilities).
I am a nurse by profession but have been a SAHM for a while now. I know it’s not a physical therapy degree and not wanting replace a physical therapist or OT. Just wanna do my part and help him with whatever I can do :(
