Advice for soon to be pirate?
My girl Navi has had iris melanosis developing since she was a few years old, and after seven years of monitoring, her ophthalmologist let us know that the melanosis was now turning into melanoma, so out her eye goes next week. (The third picture was what her eye looked like when she was 1, and her eye today)
Does anyone have any tips or advice on how I can best support her during her recovery and anything I can do before the surgery to get her acclimated to certain things? I got her a soft collar and have put it on her so she got used to it, but I know that I will need a rigid cone for the first few weeks, this is just for down the line. Any wisdom you guys can share for how you got your pirates through post op would be very welcome - thank you! I will of course post her again when she becomes a bona fide pirate.
