We launched a salon booking app for India — here is what we learned in the first few months
Hey everyone,
I am Rashid, founder of Haal, a salon booking app
built for India.
We noticed most salons still run on walk-ins and
phone calls. Customers wait with no idea when they
will be attended. We built Haal to fix that.
What we have learned since launching:
- Salon owners care more about reducing no-shows
than getting new customers
- Customers trust verified reviews before booking
- Automated reminders made the biggest difference
for retention
We are now expanding to the Middle East.
Happy to answer any questions about building a
consumer app in India.
