Hi everyone, I have a question regarding etiquette when meeting/hosting someone who uses a wheelchair.

We’ve invited a few neighbors over for a bonfire and roasted sausages, and one of our neighbors (50M) is a wheelchair user. The fire pit itself isn't accessible by wheelchair, but there is a gate and a paved path just 5 meters above it where a wheelchair can go. I assume that’s where my neighbor will be staying.

Should I move some of the benches up to the path beforehand? Should I do it right away, or wait until he arrives and confirms he’ll be staying on the path? Or should I try to make the fire pit area itself more accessible? What should I look out for, and what would he likely appreciate?

Thanks a lot in advance for the advice! I'm not looking for anything fancy, I just want to make this neighborhood gathering as pleasant as possible for everyone and avoid any situations that might be awkward or uncomfortable for him.
