This happens relatively frequently with games. Can't load another desktop, nor can I close anything. Have to restart if I play certain games and move on to something else because of the desktop selection taking up about 50% of the screen.

ETA: The first screenshot is of the game running in the background, and the second is Steam being open, allowing me to still open and close things.
