Hi everyone,

Just after advice/suggestions.

I have a baker’s cyst in my right knee. It causes a lot of pain - within 3 months of an aspiration/cortisone shot I struggle to walk (limping usually within a month), cant put my own socks/pants on or off. There are no signs of meniscus tears or arthritis, surgeon isnt sure what is causing it to refill/cause so much pain

I had an aspiration/cortisone shot recently, however, I have been told I’m not allowed anymore as you can only have a certain amount in a set timeframe.

I get surgery in early January and have no idea how I am going to be able to work (Teacher) and live life when the pain gets that bad. Any suggestions on how to minimise the pain/making moving easier to last until surgery day?

I’ve thought of crutches or a walking stick but could that cause issues in my arms?

TIA
