We've been theorizing that the thing in Ariel's Tomb that they needed to defeat Asterion was VTB's shade or that they would become Spirits.

But Nephis knows what Oblivion wanted to forget. The ultimate corruption.

Next time Asterion uses his creepy mind powers on her, he's getting a corruption bazooka to the soul sea.

Is he immune to corruption like Nephis cause he's a dreamspawn too, or is that just her ability?

The irony in him just gloating to Cassie that he can assend without getting corrupted because he's a dreamspawn only to get corruption bombed by Nephis would be funny.

....anyway just a thought. I don't have many of them so I thought I'd share.
