Really like my boots in IBC but won’t get the same leather in another pair. What’s some leathers that are similar to it in terms of temper / stiffness? I like Predator Natty as well, softer than IBC but still have that firm, molding to your ankle and calf feeling.
The chalk / marker marks have started to bother me. What do I use to clean? Try a natural solution so far (spit then rub with finger) that didn’t work.
My issue: if ball of foot is in the right place (widest part of boot), I have too little space in front of toes for breaking in (taking into account the footbed bending that takes up some length), and half size up has enough space in front of toes but ball of foot falls behind the widest part of boot.
7.5FF, TNW: Good fit, might be just a tad narrow, ball of foot in the right place but clearance ahead of toes (looks like just 1/2in) might not be enough when the midsole starts to bend after breaking in.
8FFF, 55: Feels a bit too long (note that my thumb is a bit small, about 3/4in wide) but might be alright after breaking in, ball of foot falls behind the widest part of boot, too close to the facings and you can see the bend right at the facing. My concern is the facings might later dig into my foot because a sharp bend is right there. On the 7.5FF, the flex point is further towards the tip of the boot, like the majority of boots people post here.
What do you recommend for the next pair? These are new so I have no idea how they’ll be after breaking in but people with more experience might have an idea.
