Hi I digitized footage from my Digital8 camcorder using a 4-pin FireWire connection to an IEEE 1394 PCIe card on my PC with WinDV. I compared it to footage captured through S-Video using a GV-USB2 capture card.

Surprisingly, the S-Video footage looks much sharper and better than the FireWire capture, even though I expected FireWire to give higher quality.

Is there any way to fix this?

Also, sorry for recording the comparison video with my phone , at least the difference is clear.
