I just picked up this stand for 1/6 scale figures like Hot Toys and stuff, and I was testing how good it actually is. After messing around with it for a bit, I can confirm it works really well. It holds the weight nicely (I only used 2 out of the 4 supports included in the box, one for the legs and one for the torso).
The clamp that holds the figure uses a spring-loaded system, so it keeps pressure on the figure for extra stability, and the inside is padded with foam so it doesn’t damage the figure.
For anyone interested, I got it on AliExpress and it’s called the “Jiaou Doll Stand.”

At first I only preordered the SSJ version (Movie 10 one) since that’s always been my favorite Broly look, but after seeing the prototype pics again I immediately folded and preordered the base form too + the extra blue controlled SSJ head 💀
That way, together with the ZT02, I can basically have the full Z Broly lineup next to the rest of my Z collection and recreate some crazy poses 🤩
Lowkey though, they could’ve just made one body or max two (red skirt + purple skirt for the blue/purple SSJ look) and then given us 4 different head sculpts to save everybody some money, but it is what it is lol.
Still, these pics + the fact ZL Studio seems to be made by former ZT Studio people got me pretty hopeful. Some of the movie details look REALLY good, like the squinting expression on the base form and the battle-damaged outfit on the SSJ version. Even the scale actually looks on point.

Unfortunately I couldn’t fully take advantage of the energy effect that’s supposed to reach up to the character’s head—the figure is just too bulky, especially in this aura-burst pose. I ended up using the remaining energy pieces on my ZT02 Broly, but I’m sure that with a bit of imagination and patience you can get a lot of dynamic effects.

Anyone know a solid holder that can handle the weight? I had a pretty long one with a metal wire from Ali, but the plastic clip you usually hook around your waist straight up gave out from how heavy it is 😭

Finally, the King is here!

The figure itself is amazing and perfectly captures the spirit and aesthetic of Movie 8. I’m testing it right now and, aside from a bit of awkwardness when swapping faces (you really need to push firmly into the two hair holes to get them to sit properly), I haven’t run into any real issues. Joints are solid, no paint defects, no missing parts or damage from shipping.

Only tip, kinda obvious but still: watch out for those damn earrings. They’re super small and fragile — I already broke one (and you only get two spares). If you’re switching faces, make sure to put them on first, and press the face in from the chin area. Otherwise they can fall off easily and you’ll lose them.
