Non-fan becoming a fan
Hello everyone! honestly medyo nahihiya akong aminin na hindi ako super fan ng Avatar before.
But—
I grew up watching Avatar: The Last Airbender nung bata pa ako here in the Philippines. I’m 28 now, so sobrang tagal na nun, around 2008 pa. I really loved the show back then, pero for some reason hindi ko talaga nasundan nang maayos yung story habang pinapalabas sa TV. Siguro dahil sobrang daming commercials noon or pasulpot-sulpot lang ako nakakapanood.
And as someone na mahilig mag-binge watch ng movies and series ngayon, medyo nanghihinayang ako.
So here goes nothing.
Nagkaroon ako recently ng chance manood ulit ng newer Avatar content, and grabe—sobrang naging aware ako na ang dami ko palang na-miss sa story.
What I really loved was how they kept Aang’s personality the same. Yung pagiging playful, childish, and funny niya kahit mas mature na siya. Hindi lang si Aang actually—parang every part of it brought me back to that childhood feeling and passion for the series.
Last thing I clearly remember from the original series was Zuko slowly starting to have a change of heart sa early parts of the story. Dun na yata ako huling nakapanood, forgive me 😅
Anyway, gusto ko lang i-share na finally, committed na akong balikan at i-dive talaga yung buong story ng Avatar universe.
I know this probably isn’t something important to share, pero Reddit has always been a place where I can just share random thoughts like this. Feel free to tease me or even drop spoilers honestly—I probably won’t mind. Baka lalo pa akong ma-excite.

Now that my wife is about to give birth to our first baby boy, sure na akong hindi lang One Piece and other OG anime ang mapapanood niya habang lumalaki. Avatar will definitely be part of his childhood too
