Night sweat before period
Hi all. Bit of history - I'm 41 and had an endometrial ablation about 5 years ago because of endometriosis. I still have a Nexplanon implant because of the risk of ectopic pregnancy after ablation and refuse to switch to a coil because I had a miscarriage in my 20s when I had a coil in place which failed.
I've been having night sweats for about 18 months, as well as exhaustion, dry skin etc. The night sweats always seem to happen in the week before my periods, which are very light and only last a couple of days, although I get a lot of pain before and during.
My GP refuses to test me for perimenopause because he says theres no point while I have the implant in place, which I understand would skew the results, but I'm still having horrendous sweats. I woke up DRENCHED last night, the worst its ever been.
Is there anything I can do to help myself given the lack of help from my GP? Thanks in advance for any advice anyone can offer.
