Thoughts on this. NEED HELP
I’m a 34M with the following investments and I’m looking for some guidance. I currently have about $58k in a traditional IRA that’s conservatively invested and managed by a financial advisor. I also have a Robinhood brokerage account with around $20k, mostly invested in tech stocks. In addition, I have a 401k through my employer with about $6,200 in it and continuing to grow.
I don’t currently have a Roth IRA, but I do have the option to convert my 401k contributions to Roth (post-tax). I’ve been on the fence about whether this is a smart move or not. Should I keep my 401k as pre-tax, or switch to Roth/post-tax?
Oh and i get gifted close to 10k in restricted stocks each year through my company and its paid out a portion every quarter.
Thank you all
