Hello! So I want to start of by saying my son officially sleeps through the night!!! He’s 13 months now.

It was all due to him nursing back to sleep. I slowly started to night wean him then on Easter it just so happened that he didn’t need to feed at all that night and was the first time he slept through. So that was our last day of nursing completely. 🥹 so thank you everyone who has offered help as I was going through all this.

After that he has been sleeping through consistently since. 8-7.

Okay fast forward to now. We started to experiment with a one nap schedule. I started it because I capped his naps at one hour each and when I would wake him he was so upset and was so tired still. So I figured if we did a one nap he can get that two hour stretch and feel better.

So he would wake 7 am. Nap at 12 until 2. Bed at 7. Earlier bedtime since the once nap switch. It used to be 8.

He was doing great. A little bit of a push to get him through to noon. But he would zonk out. And at night he was sleeping 7-7.

Then suddenly he slowly started to wake earlier. 6 on the dot. Pretty awake. I would just take him and bring him in bed with us until 7. I still kept his 12 -2 nap even with the early wake.

Then this morning he woke at 5 and wasn’t awake but couldn’t get settled back to sleep. After about 30-35 min of trying I brought him back to bed again to finish his sleep until 7. Took him a min to fall back to sleep.

I do not want to do less than 2 hours of nap time. Do I need to try to push bedtime to 730? Did I switch to one nap too soon? I just kind of winged it. If I push to 730 that’s a 5.5 stretch.

Also I want to note he did cut a canine tooth recently. I have no idea when it happened exactly but I’m thinking it started last Sunday.

Should I continue what I’m doing and see if it improves or should I go back to 2 naps? I only switch to two naps now if we have plans during 12-2. We have to be flexible ..

Any tips?
