Can someone explain to me why Edward is so cocky about his driving over 100 mph and how safe it is?? He brags about his "built in radar", but um excuse me, the main danger late at night on roads outside of major cities isnt cops or other drivers, its hitting wildlife that run into the road.

Has he never heard of deer? Has he seriously never hit a deer or been close to? Maybe he could react in time, but that doesn't change how a car can react safely-- swerving or sudden strong braking would still be dangerous for Bella.
