Volunteer Seeks Help For Needed Dental Work
Hi all - I am in need of some teeth. I recently had 7 extractions due to medications, grinding, and some bad free dental work offered to volunteers that caused them to disintegrate.
Fortunately, I have my front uppers and lowers, but this leaves me with nothing in the back to chew with. I've been eating porridge, mashed potatoes, and protein drinks. I need a minimum of 4 implants in order to build bridges to complete my bite. I have gotten the cost for each implant, which will take over 3 months to complete. My remaining teeth are shifting already because I have so many open spaces. Between shifting and grinding it causes mild pain but triggers my migraines and ON.
Each implant will cost $1,200, (fortunately, here in Poland it is a fraction of the cost in the states) of which I can cover $100 - $200 if I can raise the rest, as I am on a fixed income. Otherwise, without your kind assistance, this process would take me 6 to 7 months per implant, meaning over 2 years to just do the 4 implants before I would be able to start the bridge work.
I have a consultation for a complete treatment plan in just two weeks. I can share the information after the appointment (it will most likely be in Polish) and I will have a better idea of costs and how much will be due each appointment. I'm hoping to get enough initially to place the posts in (a little less than half of my goal) and then be able to raise the remaining during the three months while the posts fuse to my jawbone.
I know there are people worse off than I am, and other horrible injustices around the world. I have been volunteering (based in Poland, talking donations over the eastern borders) for over 3 years now helping the animals and people all over the country during the invasion.
