Yeah.. After I was done laughing (and crying) at this a few hours later at this whole mess, I'm trying to figure out how to proceed. Long story... basically never going to be a landlord again.
I know I can just replace the stud, redo the stucco on the outside and drywall and be done with it. I'm assuming that process is pretty straight forward?
Or, I was considering putting in a real window. This would actually be a great place for one, and I know how to frame them and I'm not crazy about trying to match the stucco pattern outside since it'll never look right. But I just realized that there is no room for the jack stud on the left due to the water main..
Thoughts? Is a window out of the question? or is this just the wrong place for one?
