I feel like so many fans don't allow their opinions on returning players to evolve as we watch these players play a whole new season of Survivor.

Yes it sucks when a fan favorite goes home, but almost every returnee season turns into discourse around "Wow I can't believe this is our final 7, 6, 5, whatever, all my least favorite preseason players 🤮"

Putting factors outside of the game aside, players evolve throughout the course of multiple seasons of Survivor, and treating boot orders as if it's a final "insert number here" of players identical to their original seasons is just ridiculous.
