Hi,

My wife and I are about to take a parental leave and after reading about the QPIP's info on the government's website, I can't seem to find answers about one specific question re shareable weeks:

After I'm done with my 5 weeks exclusive paternity leave, is the QPIP program forcing me to burn through the 70% shareable weeks, or can I go straight to the 55% shareable weeks?

The goal is to save the 70% shareable weeks for my wife since her employer isn't as generous with their top off program.
