How to get into Business Analyst field?

I’ve worked 9 years in finances with 4 years doing multi state tax returns and the other 5 processing mortgage payments, mainly upper level bankruptcy trustee checks. That being said, I figure the niche for me is finance.

I was able to get my Masters in Business Intelligence during the pandemic and didn’t have time to brush up my resumes and look for a BA position. Fast forward, I was laid off, but now have time to look for an entry level BA position. I just don’t know how to go about it. I know how to use Power BI, Tableau, am learning SQL now, and optimized my resume to be more BA friendly.

In terms of projects, I don’t have any work experience, but have some projects from my masters program that I thought about using. I need advice as to how to get into the field, realistically how long should I expect it may take, and what are some certifications you’d recommend are necessary to get?
