First picks of the first flush, excited to watch more grow!
Inoculated millet with LC Jan 17. Nothing happened for a few weeks. Used a heat pad to raise temps and jar started colonizing slowly. Left it for a while to do its thing. Finally spawned to bulk April 7. Substrate (coco/verm) was a bit wet so I tried going straight to fruiting conditions for the first time
2nd time ever growing mushies. Re-using a kit I got last year but with new LC genetics/substrate. Had some issues inoculating grain jars and only one actually colonized after quite a long wait. Thankfully it was the Natalensis, which I was most excited for. I don't know much about mycelium but after doing some reading and from my experience this strain seems particularly tough to kill, lucky for me. The little jar that could was finally birthed into some substrate and first pins emerged a few days ago 🥳
