Is there any possibility of moving between US/Europe/ Middle East offices to Asia and vice versa? If so, How does it work in biglaw?

I’d love to get some insight!

I am currently on a sabbatical in Spain and I recently passed a bar exam(DC) - I sent an email to an A&O partner in Madrid office telling him that I followed his case( which is a leading case in Spain) and asked that I would like to connect. I suggested a meeting to discuss the case and I also have work experience on similar cases back in my country so I said I want to exchange some views. I also added should he find my career interesting, I am more than happy to discuss professional opportunities.

He answered me that he is pleased to meet me and his PA will contact me for a meeting slot. The PA asking me whether I prefer to come down to Madrid office ( in person) or Teams.

I honestly think it would be great to lead to career opportunities. I live in Barcelona, 2.5 hours away from Madrid . Should I go down and meet him in person?

First time contacting a partner, please help!

I am hoping to get a job at a law firm or in-house and found several good openings. I think that I might raise my chances if I include this information. Anybody who did it? or any advice? or Is it better to wait until I am admitted?

The C&F file says the process started in November… so approx 6 months …When will they finally finalize…? Anyone heard from dc today because they said they will send out certification starting May 4th..
