Bought two Q1 Max keyboard... two vastly different typing experience
Long story short: I bought a Q1 Max (Gateron Jupiter Brown Switch, with side-printed caps) in July 2024 and loved that keyboard immensely. So I decided to buy another one for work this week. Same model: Q1 Max (Gateron Jupiter Brown Switch) but different color (carbon black). It is like I bought two completely different keyboards.
The 2024 Q1 Max feels very snappy and clicky. The feeling is great. Exactly what I was looking for. The newer one feels a lot more dampen. It is as if they put rubber pads at the bottom of the keys and added resistance on the travel. Even the typical brown switch bump is much less obvious. It is like two completely different typing feels.
What is happening here? Did they redesign the keyboard and kept the same model name?
