Hi guys

My doors are getting installed currently. We have bought new flush doors and pasted laminate on it. However our door frames are old and using that only.

My main concern is that our designer is saying that the laminate which is pasted on the front and back of the door will not be pasted on thickness of the door, paint will be applied there. However i find it difficult to understand and feel that it would look wierd. Also there are two levels in our door frames and designer is saying that the outer level will be covered in laminate but the inner level will also be painted, the inner level has the hinges installed.

Please tell me is this how laminate doors are installed or what?
