Can any lore experts clear up the Silver Arch for angels and demons reforming in Hell?
I commented on a post a few days ago that was talking about Leah eventually returning and some people were saying she's completely dead, but unless blizzard has officially stated that somewhere, I didn't see it as unreasonable.
To my understanding, when an angel dies, a new angel is made from the Arch. But that rule, the one about demons (I think it's just demons of sufficient power/ rank), and presumably if there is one about humans can be rewritten. Izual was an angel, but became a demon we killed in D2, then we killed him again in D3. Then Bartuc and the infernal council were also humans before I think I heard somewhere, died in D2, and are back again in D4.
As for angels, I don't know if there's been any replacements yet for Malthael and his followers or even the angels they killed, but if not then either my understanding of the Arch is wrong, it works so slowly Hell could probably overrun Heaven with sheer numbers, or something broke the "cycle" (also implying in such case that there won't be a replacement for Tyrael if he dies).
At the very least for humans and angels, those rules can be rewritten to some extent if not entirely if anything I've said is accurate. And assuming it is, wouldn't that mean we could see other characters from D1-3 return too like Rakanoth, Azmodan's lords of (insert sins), Izual again, or even see Adria and Leah again?
edit: part of the reason I ask about Leah is because while her body was destroyed, it was possessed by Diablo, not to mention she was his daughter so she inherited his power as well as was basically a perfect vessel for him. But when she was possessed, assuming her body and soul weren't "destroyed" as a result of the possession itself would've probably fully "awakened" her own demonic bloodline and could theoretically count.
edit 2: also forgot Tyrael and how he died when he destroyed the world stone, but said "fuck the rules" and didn't actually die, piecing himself back together in pandemonium iirc.
