Should Martials get extra origin feats?

The point I hear brought up most often when it comes to the martial/caster divide is that spells provide casters with a lot more utility, flexibility and instant problem solves than Martials get. This results in martials feeling kind of bland out of combat (doubly so since casters are also typically quite good with skills as well). This is a hard problem to resolve without restricting the entire system or making Martials feel like Casters.

So what if we gave Martials extra origin feats as they progress (maybe at levels 5,11, and 17) to give them more general utility without just giving them martial equivalents to spells? Origin feats are generally (with a few exceptions) low complexity passive boosts that expand a characters versatility. This is in contrast to the active nature and much higher complexity of higher level spells. Thus allowing martials to have more origin feats could boost their versatility while keeping them distinct from casters. These feats are also relatively low power, so a change like this should not make Martials stronger than casters.

Does this seem reasonable? If so, how would you implement this? I chose levels 5,11 and 16 because those are the levels at which cantrips scale and important spell levels are unlocked. That being said it does feel somewhat clunky to implement this way.
