Hey everyone,

I applied for a musical and got invited to submit a self-tape/e-casting. Unfortunately the email doesn't say much beyond "record this monologue and sing the piece."

• How do you usually structure the video?
• Is it okay to edit/cut between takes, or should everything be done in one continuous shot?
• Do you introduce yourself briefly at the start, or just jump straight into it?
• How do you handle the audio so both the backing track and your voice come through clearly, especially for the singing parts?
• Is a waist-up shot enough, or do they need to see your full body?
