The local Muslim therapist group is having a networking event

I was going to go just for business growth as I’m a founder of a mental health company. Then I saw their event info:

Topic
Introduction to Islamic Psychology: Understanding the Self Through an Islamic Lens

We will explore
What is Islamic Psychology? — and how it differs from simply integrating Islamic coping into Western frameworks

Why this field is needed — and what is lost when Muslim clients are served only by models built on secular, individualistic assumptions

The Islamic conception of the self — an introduction to ruh, nafs, qalb, aql, and jasad as an integrated framework for understanding human experience, suffering, and healing

Clinical implications — how these concepts can enrich our existing practice and better serve Muslim clients

This talk offers an accessible entry point into Islamic Psychology as an emerging field — shared not from the position of an expert, but from a fellow clinician and student who has found these concepts both personally and professionally meaningful.

I am asking myself if I can just observe but I’m absolutely the type to speak up when I hear nonsense. I have been away from this community for 20+ yrs.

Has anyone tolerated these types of events?
