Looking for beginner-friendly crypto self-custody guides to compare against my own

Hi everyone!

Because of an upcoming surgery, I ended up creating a very detailed step-by-step guide for my family explaining how to safely access and manage my crypto portfolio if something happens to me.

Now I’m curious what similar beginner-friendly guides already exist that I could compare it against:

  • to see whether I approached things reasonably well,
  • whether important topics are missing,
  • and whether this type of guide would actually be useful to share publicly at all.

I’d really appreciate recommendations for guides, resources or projects that you personally trust for complete beginners.

Looking for feedback on a beginner-focused crypto self-custody project

Hi everyone!

Over the last few months I started building an educational website focused on step-by-step, beginner-friendly crypto storage.

The main focus is:

  • only free and open-source tools,
  • offline storage workflows,
  • backups and recovery,
  • privacy,
  • and step-by-step guides designed for non-technical users.

This is not a trading or “buy this coin” type of project.
The goal is long-term security education and helping beginners understand how self-custody actually works.

The Bitcoin guide is already complete, and before investing a huge amount of time into additional guides and topics, I’d genuinely like to hear whether users think this type of project is actually useful or worth continuing.

The project is linked in my Reddit bio because some communities automatically remove posts with external links.

Constructive criticism, corrections and suggestions are very welcome.
