I just posted a question here and noticed there's not too many photos so thought I'd share some from the Greenstone-Caples which I did in January.

Can't seem to add captions to the photos, but I did it in 2 nights:

Day 1 is photo 1 - 6 (Greenstone Valley, ended at McKellar Hut)

Day 2 is photos 7 - 11 (up and over McKellar Saddle to Upper Caples Hut)

Day 3 is photos 12-14 (back out through Caples Valley)

Hey everyone,

I want to do a multi-day tramp this winter, and was looking at the Queen Charlotte Track, but due to the private lodging, most places are closed so the only options are to camp or walk like 45km in one day.

I'd prefer not to camp, so I'm wondering what alternatives there are around the South Island that will still be walkable and not freezing. I've already done the Abel Tasman and Greenstone-Caples so really any other track than those which has huts is good.
