Hey everyone,

my wife got some results back after getting tissue extracted since the doctor detected something weird and here are the results:

(translated from the report):

  • Test: High-risk HPV mRNA (Aptima)
  • It checks for active high-risk HPV types (like 16, 18, etc.)
  • Result: NOT DETECTED

So from what I understand, there’s no active high-risk HPV infection.

I used ChatGPT to translate everything since the document is in Spanish. What I find weird is that the doctor seems to have recommended cryocauterization (not sure how to spell it) even though she has no symptoms at all. He’s charging around $150 this is not a US clinic or doctor, but I don’t want to put my wife through it if it’s unnecessary. Honestly, it sounds like it might be. I have suspicions since it just honestly just makes no sense.
