Fast dark star?!?! Help me find other big surprises

Howdy folks! I’m a younger head, who enjoys Grateful Dead as well as Dead & Co depending on my mood. Not here to adjudicate the merits of the latter.

I had Dead & Co on in the background today, 6/27/23 (available on Spotify). I’m digging the Big River, then BAM Bobby starts belting out Dark Star over the continued upbeat rhythm and feel of Big River. Completely tickled my ear and caught me way off guard, which I found very enjoyable. It’s rare that I find surprises this big anymore.

Can you share examples of Grateful Dead versions or transitions that caught you way off guard like this?

Thanks in advance!!

Fast dark star?!?! Please share any other complete surprises?

As the title suggests, I had 6/27/23 (available on Spotify)playing in the background today. Loving big river, and then while they maintain Big River tempo and feel BAM…Bobby starts belting out Dark Star. Anyone know any other examples of songs done so very different than the norm, whether dead & Co or Grateful Dead? Thanks in advance!
