What medium should use for this project?

Hi y'all! I'm looking to create lettering for a sign I'm building. I wanted these letters to be 3D, and have a slightly translucent, pearlecaent look.

The letter in the photo is made of modge podge 3D magic on top of a cricut print. I then tried to paint it. However, I wish it was thicker, and the paint cracks and is uneven. I've thought about 3D printing them, but I'm not sure if I can get the translucent look with that, and I have only just set up my 3D printer and never used it. I really don't want to do epoxy or acrylic, as these letters are large and I need them to be very precise. I would also have to make a mold for that, which would take way too much time. I thought about using hot glue, but again, probably won't be clean enough.

Does anyone have any ideas on what I could build these out of? Or is 3D printing really my best bet?
