Costumes getting progressively more damaged throughout the narrative
There’s just something about seeing a hero’s costume torn up, burned, or barely holding together after a fight and they still continue to wear.
(1) Daredevil Born Again (S2): Matt/Daredevil has painted his black and as the season goes on it becomes chipped/peeled from various fights revealing the original red coating.
(2) Spider-Man (2002): While fighting Green Goblin, Peter/Spidey’s suit is ripped and burnt. This also happens in the later movies.
(3) Iron Man 3: Tony/Iron Man after an encounter with the Mandarin, he’s left with one suit that’s damaged and has to use for the rest of story until he gets his suits back.
(4) Avengers Infinity War: After the events of Civil War, Steve/Cap continues to wear his suit that’s has been torn and degraded.
