At some point the “time cost” becomes worse than the actual money

I’ve started questioning whether some “savings” are even worth it anymore. I’ll spend 45 minutes in a support chat trying to cancel a $7 subscription, get transferred between 3 agents, repeat myself 5 times, and still somehow end up getting charged again next month.

At some point the mental energy, frustration, and time lost become more expensive than the money itself. Companies make cancellation intentionally exhausting and rely on people giving up halfway through.
