I love Shunnamite’s character in the show

Shu is shaping up to be a fun favorite and I really appreciate the direction TT take with her for so far.

In the book she’s >!quite one-dimensional and sometimes passive aggressive towards Agnes and not much of any inner conflict is shown!<

In Rowan Blanchard’s performance I see a girl who is adapting in one of the ways allowed to her in that sick society and trying to make the best in her circumstances. She also gives off that street-smart vibe useful for surviving Gilead.

She can be petty, judgmental and irritating but which one of us wasn’t at 16 yo? She made a VERY concerning passing comment regarding her father, too, so there’s definitely some shady stuff going on in her household. (ETA: wording?)

I saw people here disliking her and I think it’s valid as well, I was taken aback by her advice to Agnes that the latter should turn Daisy in preventively.
Also, that slap…she was wrong for that, I think.

I’m sure there are more examples I’m missing.

Maybe she’ll face a choice at some point in the series, either to buy fully into the ideology for materialistic/status reasons OR continue aiding her friends at some cost to her. Or maybe both.

She will probably >!marry Judd!< and be elated about it :(
