I’m 21F and currently doing my BSc Psychology in India and have applied to universities like the University of Surrey, Queen’s University Belfast, University of Birmingham, and University of Liverpool. I’ve received a few offer letters, but I’m confused about which university and course to choose.

My main concerns are:

  1. How important is BPS accreditation (British Psychological Society) for these programs?

  2. Do MSc Clinical/Health Psychology programs actually lead to jobs in the UK?

  3. What are the career options after this degree?

  4. Is it possible to work in the NHS or do I need further qualifications?

So I’m trying to figure out:

Whether this MSc is worth it as an international student

What kind of jobs I can realistically get after graduation (assistant psychologist, research roles, etc.)

If anyone is currently studying or has completed an MSc in Clinical/Health Psychology in the UK, please share your experience or advice.

Thanks in advance!

I’m an 21F international student from India planning for MSc Psychology (Sept 2026). I’ve received an offer from the University of Bath and I’m eligible for a merit scholarship, but the total cost is still too high for me.

I come from a financially constrained background and will likely need an education loan (high interest), so I’m trying to find practical ways to reduce the burden.

Profile:

GPA: 3.0/4

Relevant internships + experience in psychology

I’m trying to explore practical and realistic funding options — not just popular names like Chevening (I know deadlines are over and it's extremely competitive), but options that are actually achievable at this stage.

What I’m specifically looking for:

1.Scholarships I can still apply for (external or university-specific)

2.Any lesser-known funding schemes for Indian students

3.Real experiences from students who managed finances through part-time work, bursaries, or other methods

  1. Real experience who got the funded scholarship which are relevant with my profile

Not looking for generic suggestions —would really appreciate realistic advice or personal experiences.

Thanks! in advance
