I'm asking this as I don't understand why people would buy handheld windows pcs for thousands of dollars when imo you could get a decent laptop and a cheaper handheld like the switch 2 or the steamdeck and get better desktop performance (laptop) and enough power to play hundrends of games at close to perfect quality while travelling/handheld.
You can argue that the switch games are more expensive and the steamdeck is loweer performance but from my personal experience and knowledge i have ner seen someone bust out a AAA game on the airplane or the train most of the time you'd play simpler games like mario or hades something easy to pick up and drop off at any moment and no one is so desprate that they need to play the latest most demanding games while away from home
I understand that a small group of people might be like that but that shouldn't be enough incentive for the whole market shift
So what are your thoughts on this push by brands towards more expensive handhelds and what do you think of my take?
