The first photo was Dan during the interview from Afterburn Podcast (He was still a Deputy Director for Military Affairs at the CIA that time). He looked more chill and easy-going, and actually had time talking in front of the camera
Now for the 2nd photo was Dan during the testify before Congress for $1.3 trillion of military budget. His eyes were heavy, his eye bags were prominent, the wrinkles were deeper, his face was completely tense and tired, and his voice was weaker and dryer. Not to mention when Hegseth was arguing with some senators, it looked like he was trying to avoid troubles or something.
I don't know much about the US military, so is it normal because of his job, or is it because Trump and Hegseth are abusing him? Feel free to judge me I guess.
P/s: I watched this dreadful live stream for 4 hours before I fell asleep
