I'm building a back yard office and it will have a window AC/Heater for climate control. I have the piers poured already and I have a big pile of rocks and stones. I live in a fairly dry climate, Northern Nevada. Each of my questions has a vapor barrier option so I guess the main question is where should I put the vapor barrier?
- Should I put the stones under the floor on some weed barrier or should I put some plastic down as a vapor barrier?
- I'll be insulating the floor, should I use rock wool batts or xps foam and seal the edges with expanding foam.
- to protect the insulation from the bottom is plain osb fine or should I get some 1/2" zip sheathing and do the water proof side down.
