3 months on Reta

3 months on Reta

Reta has truly been life-changing for me. I’m down to 259 lbs from 300 lbs, and it’s helped me in so many ways beyond just weight loss. I’ve started eating healthier, going to the gym regularly (after never stepping foot in a gym in my life), and it has improved my mental health tremendously.

Six years ago, I somehow pulled myself out of homelessness and active addiction. I went from being 200 pounds soaking wet to over 320 lbs almost overnight. For a long time, I convinced myself I was okay with my weight, until some blood work came back and made me realize I needed to make serious changes.

My life used to revolve around fast food (no fast food in 3 months) and a repetitive cycle of work, overeating, and sleeping—that was literally my life. Now, I’m getting out, spending time with family and friends, and actually looking forward to going to the gym. My anxiety has decreased tremendously from losing weight, eating better, and exercising four days a week.

This is a journey I plan to stay on—not just for my physical health, but for my mental well-being too. So thank you to all the other Redditors who shared their stories and gave me the motivation to start this journey.

Edit the Picture where I’m bigger is a 3xl and I’m now in a 2xl.

Reta platau

I have been on Reta for about three months. I started eating right before I started the Reta, high protein low calorie diet while cutting out all white sugar and fast food. It was working great I dropped to 259 pounds from 300. I started to workout consistently also But now I have seemed to hit a plateau for the past 2 weeks. Is this a common thing? If so what can I do to help remedy it?
