I have a '21 LT with 137,XXX miles, (drive battery replaced at 50,XXX under recall) and just encountered my first major problem:

I start it one day and the speedo display goes crazy. I've got the "car/!" warning light on, it says "unable to charge" and "battery fault, vehicle won't restart." It also shows a full SoC but only around 17-20 miles of range and wouldn't go into any gear aside from neutral. I figured it was my 12v battery since I was still on the original one. Bought a new battery, and it seemed to work! The car was fine for about a week.

I get in it to leave from work the other night and it had all the same symptoms... Crap. Not the 12v then, I guess. So I had it towed to my nearby dealership. They did a reprogram on the hybrid drive control module and said it was good to go. Unfortunately, not under warranty since it's outside the battery. That was $314. However, when I went to pick it up, it wouldn't start for them when they were trying to bring it around to me. Same symptoms.

So now I wait to see if it will get another new battery (and new battery warranty). I've kind of got my fingers crossed for that, as the Bolt has been an excellent, reliable car aside from this and getting another 100,000 miles would be fantastic! In the meantime, I've got a loaner Blazer EV, which is VERY nice and extremely comfortable. Making me want to upgrade haha.

Just wanted to share my experience and see if anyone else had this or a similar issue? What are turnaround times like these days for battery replacement since the whole recall thing has blown over?

Update: The dealership was working with GM Technical Support for this and confirmed that it will be getting a new high voltage battery and it's covered under warranty. Now we see how long it'll take for the part to arrive. They said it's out of stock currently.
